How does the short term subscription, for 1 or 7 days, work?

You can buy a short term ticket (1 or 7 days) with your bank card at one of the Villo! terminals that are equipped with a card reader.
Follow the instructions on the screen and slide your bank or credit card in the reader. The one day ticket costs 1,60€, the 7 day ticket 7,65€.
You have to have a sufficient balance in your account (>150€) to be able to hire a bicycle. If the user fails to comply with the General Conditions of Access and Use of the Villo! service, the amount of the bond can be charged to your account partially or in full.

What methods of payment are available?

The bank cards accepted for the payment of short term tickets, are debit cards (Bancontact, Maestro) and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) that have a chip.
Due to practical reasons and because of the specific nature of the service, it is not possible to pay in cash.

Are the payments by bank card secured?

Payments by bank card online or at a Villo! terminal are completely secure. When a person connects to the website or accesses a terminal after you, he/she cannot access your Villo! account and access your confidential data.

Is my account debited immediately after taking a short term ticket?

No, the subscription cost and the cost of your transfers will be debited to your account when your ticket is about to expire.

How does the bond work? Is the bond immediately charged to my account when I buy a short term ticket?

A bond is required when you buy a short term ticket (1 or 7 days). If you wish to use Villo! in group or with the family, every user needs to subscribe and provide a bond (150€/bicycle). This amount is only charged if the user fails to comply with the General Conditions of Access and Use, in particular if the bicycle has not been returned within 24 hours’ time.
The amount of the bond, €150, will be blocked on your account (Bancontact/Maestro) or on your (Mastercard/Visa). The amount will not be withdrawn but the user will have no access to it within the duration of the bond (one to two weeks, depending on the bank). If the user fails to comply with the General Conditions of Access and Use of the Villo! service, the amount of the bond can be charged to the bank account you registered partially or in full. You have to have a sufficient balance in your account (>150€) to be able to hire a bicycle.

Is it possible to activate a ticket for 1 or 7 days onto a MOBIB card?

No, it is not possible to activate a ticket for 1 or 7 days onto a MOBIB card.

The terminal has not issued my short term ticket. Will my account be debited?

No, if the terminal has not issued a ticket, the operation has been cancelled and your account will not be debited.
However, it could be that the ticket is stuck in the distributor, so check whether that is the case.

How can I find out the amount that will be debited to my account at the end of the 1 day or 7 day hire?

If you wish to know for how long you have made use of the service and the amount of the invoice at the end of your transfers, you simply have to identify yourself at the terminal immediately after you have docked your bicycle. You will receive a receipt.
